SWD Architects provided architectural design services to renovate 4,000 SF of the existing hospital to accommodate their new “Biplane” an interventional radiology imaging machine. The Biplane provides medical professionals real time 3-dimensional images to plan and perform noninvasive surgery and to “intervene” in treating many conditions that once would have required traditional open surgery.

Incorporating this highly advanced medical imaging equipment into the existing hospital setting required extensive field investigation and careful planning. SWD Architects coordinated with hospital staff, facility management, consultants, and contractors to ensure the success of the project.
